Many people imagine hypnotherapy as swinging watches and people clucking like chickens or think that they will be under some kind of mind control. That is simply not true.
Hypnosis is a changed state of awareness that allows for improved focus, you are still conscious, but your conscious mind is extremely relaxed. It is in this relaxed state a person is more open to suggestion and change.
The therapist will ask what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to see or feel at the end of your sessions. They will explain what hypnotherapy is, their method of working and what you can expect from the sessions.
After the consultation the therapist will guide you into hypnosis using the method which they believe is most appropriate for you. After a session you may feel uplifted, lighter and most likely, very relaxed.
Everything we do has a pattern, so the aim of our sessions is to find out what your unconscious pattern is that is getting you into your problem, once we understand what is getting you there, we form a treatment plan.
Every problem has a series of pillars that need to be addressed so a treatment plan consists of 4-6 sessions.
These sessions are done weekly and your hypnosis is recorded for you to listen to on a daily basis between these appointments.
